Often enough, photographers tend to get fixated on certain areas of life, which comes from subconscious aspects of who they are, or what they hold in high regard. These are often from their early interaction with the world that grips them, and becomes hard-wired to them despite the passage of time.

Looking at Eva Duran's photos and lamp designs, her connection to nature is clear, though its her application and artistic expression of that connection that's most interesting. All three (nature, photos, & lamp designs),  are like separate planes of existence, that converge within her, and are expressed through her art.

Both groups of photos, in a way, represent commercial and personal art, each one reinforcing and linking the other. Her nature photos, personal visual studies that lead towards design, though not directly. The lamps are the end result, possibly stemming for reactions to colors, patterns, shapes, and forms seem by her and isolated though a photograph. Every image leads to various feelings, and a single thought- who is the artist?

All of her images convey warmth and a sense of intimacy, a seeking of natural detail that resonates with ideas. Slightly muted colors that at times, isolate her subjects and expresses it in an emotional projection. Somewhere in Spain Eva Duran is creating, doing something beautiful, or at the very least, something interesting.
